Welcome to the last trip report of this series! It’s been really fun getting to reminisce over one of the most fun weekend trips I’ve ever been on, but just like everything else in life, it has to come to an end eventually. But don’t fret because I can promise more trip reports coming soon, filled with food, flowers, and a trip to Red Rock Canyon! But for now let’s dive into my last day in Las Vegas!

Make a Splash
We woke up at 7am again for one reason and one reason only: to try out the pool. We realized that we had access to one of the best pools in Vegas and we didn’t want to leave Vegas without trying out the Bellagio pool. So we quickly got ready and headed down to the pool area. We left the elevators, turned right, and walked the short walk it took to get to the pool. We brought some towels from the room but apparently you could get towels there.
The pool area was beautiful. It reminded me a lot of some parks I saw in Europe. There were several pools to choose from, and we ended up going to the biggest one. I would recommend going to the pool area early, as we saw multiple people saving seats right when they opened at 8am. We were able to get one seat and then began swimming.
We didn’t really do much other than talk while in the pool. There were no slides or anything and, since we just wanted to try it, we didn’t stay that long. At about 8:30, we headed back to our room. We packed our bags, left the room, and checked out. We left our bags in the car and then proceeded to walk to our next destination: Lighthouse ArtSpace Las Vegas located at The Shops at Crystals, which is part of the ARIA Resort and Casino complex.
Worlds of Imagination
We were in Lighthouse ArtSpace to experience something that was on my Vegas bucket list when I found out we were coming to Vegas, especially because we were there for a limited time: Immersive Disney Animation. Immersive Disney Animation is a projection theater experience where Disney movies and stories come to life thanks to impressive projection technology.
When we got there, we showed our tickets to the front desk then proceeded to their little exhibit area. There were some photo op areas, as well as some maquettes and videos explaining the Disney animation process. As a huge Disney fan, I was so enthralled by everything. We quickly went into the main space for the show.
When we entered, we realized we were the only people there without kids, which I found kind of funny. We quickly found a spot where we could sit, and after waiting for about 15 minutes, the show started. The walls and the floor of the venue came alive with projections of famous Disney scenes while playing iconic Disney songs.
I remember there being a Lion King scene, as well as a Disney Villains scene and a scene focused on my favorite Disney movie of all time: Tangled. The Tangled part moved me to tears as the whole room was enveloped in flying lanterns. The whole show lasted about an hour and was well worth the money in my opinion. It’s not in Vegas anymore, unfortunately, but I would highly recommend checking it out if it comes to a city near you!
We were then directed to the merch area where I bought a shirt to commemorate the experience. We then headed back to the Bellagio to do the one thing there that we had yet to do: The Conservatory.
Flora and Fauna
We entered back into the lobby of the Bellagio and headed for the Conservatory, which was the garden-like area near the lobby. This space is supposed to be like a greenhouse but the flowers and topiaries change depending on the season. At that time they had an Easter and Spring theme going on, so there were large colorful egg topiaries, as well as a topiary of a large woman that reminded me a lot of Moana. There was also a fountain in the area that had topiaries of birds on display.
We wandered the area for about 15 minutes. It’s not a particularly big area, and even though it was a Monday it was still very crowded. After doing a loop of the entire area, it was time to say goodbye to the Bellagio. This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. We had such an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back. We got in our car, headed out of the parking lot, and made our way to the Wynn.
The Biggest Buffet in the West
We knew we couldn’t go to Vegas and not do one of their famous buffets. After doing some research, we found out that the supposed best buffet place was the one in the Wynn, so we got a reservation for their buffet. Upon arriving at the Wynn, we were able to find the buffet quickly as we looked for it the night before when we were here for Delilah’s.
We paid $80 dollars for this experience, and our reservation was for 1pm. I will admit that it was pricey, but it was so well worth the money for the food that you get. At 1pm we checked in and were then brought to our table, which was right where the buffet was. We then began to pick and choose what we wanted to eat.
I have to say, this was the best buffet I’ve ever experienced. It definitely lived up to the hype. They had everything: pizza, steak, seafood, sushi, pasta, basically every kind of food you could imagine. And it was all SO GOOD. I had three plates of different kinds of food, and even tried three different desserts. All in all, it was a great experience and I can’t wait to try it again (yes, I’d definitely pay $80 to try it again. It was that amazing!)
Once we were done, we headed back to our car and finally left the city of Las Vegas. As we were driving away and the Strip started to fade from view, I was reminded of how much fun I had this weekend. This was probably one of the most fun trips I’ve ever been on. From the drinks to the museums to the casinos and resorts, everything was as amazing as I had imagined. I can’t wait to see it all again, hopefully soon. But I couldn’t reminisce for too long as we had one more site to visit!
Red Rocks!
We then made our way to Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock Canyon is a State Park that is known for its incredible rock formations and hiking trails. We had planned to go on a hike but because of the time of day we were there, the sun was scorching hot. So we decided to just drive the scenic route that you can drive through the canyon, passing by viewpoints along the way where you can stop and take pictures.
We got up to the entrance to the park and showed our National Parks Pass. It’s worth noting that, if you’re coming here during peak season, you need to reserve a timeslot to come here. The first stop on the scenic route was Calico Hills, which was my favorite stop on the entire route. In front of us were these huge red rocks that we saw people climbing and walking over. It was really striking and we both thought it was worth coming here just for this.
We then went to two more viewpoints that, while not as striking as the Calico Hills, were amazing nonetheless. There was a viewpoint that looked out over the desert with mountains to our right that I kind of just stared at for 10 minutes. It was such a breathtaking view and taking it all in was the best possible way we could have ended this trip. I would highly recommend coming here, especially if you have a car, as the views are worth it.
